Iron Fly Tournament
On June 13th we will hold an Iron Fly outing. It will be at Candleridge Park in Ft Worth, which is near the intersection of Hulen and Sycamore School Road. There are carp in this lake so catching them on a fly rod can be quite fun. https://www.fortworthtexas.gov/…/parks…/candleridge-park
This is a really cool outing to test your fly tying skills as well as your fishing skills. It will begin at 7:00 am. Each participant will be given materials to make a fly. You will have one hour to make the fly. There will be a judging and prizes awarded. Be sure to bring your own vice and tying tools including thread and glue. If you don’t already have these, please let us know ahead of time and we can arrange for them to borrow.
Fishing will begin at 8:00 am. We will fish until it gets too hot and then head to Kincaids at 4825 Overton Ridge Blvd. Fort Worth, Texas 76132 to cool off and enjoy burgers. As usual, eat at your own expense.
