It’s time for another of the club’s all-time favorite outings – the overnighter at Bill Ward’s Ranch near Mexia. The clear water of the quarry at the campsite is easily traversed and roads lead to many other lakes on his property. Bill’s friend, Kent Yelverton, offers his quarries to fish as well. The best is just the other side of Bill’s ranch road. Late October’s cool fall weather will be delightful whether in your tent or otherwise.
