Good afternoon club.
Our first outing of the year is THIS Saturday!! January the 17th. A Trout 101 at the Possum Kingdom Stone Bridge, on Highway 16 below Possum Kingdom Lake Dam and the State Hatchery. Our annual trip to the area comes at the peak of Texas Trout Season! We will meet at 8am on the northwest side of the bridge along the road and the parking area. Be careful along the highway as vehicles pass through the area quite regularly. There will be fishing buddies available to assist if you are new to fly fishing. Equipment is also available per request. Simply let us know if you need some. Egg patterns and midges have been working well. Occasionally dry flies will catch the trout’s attention when a hatch is going on. Streamers will also turn a trout’s head around.
Lunch will be served at the park below the dam on the road up from the State Hatchery from 12pm-2pm. Come by and enjoy the time together.
