Our February speaker is Ben Tabor, founder of Fatties on the Fly. While Ben is familiar to many in our club, this will be his first presentation for us. His company offers exceptional guided trips across Texas’ iconic waters, from the Brazos River to the Devil’s River.

Born and raised in Glen Rose, Texas, Ben grew up on his family’s ranch, where he developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the values of hard work. Immersed in the traditions of ranching, he spent his youth tending cattle and horses, fostering a lifelong connection to the land.

After college, Ben briefly pursued ranching and rodeo, working on various ranches and competing as a bucking horse rider. This rugged lifestyle tested his grit and solidified his bond with nature. Eventually, Ben found his true passion in fly-fishing, a pursuit that blends his love for the outdoors, artistic sensibilities, and ranching skills.

Today, Ben is a highly respected guide, known for his patience, expertise, and ability to help clients of all backgrounds connect with nature through fly-fishing. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Ben share his journey, insights, and tips at our February meeting!
