It’s just a couple of weeks from the club’s 2018, the Fly Fishing Fundraising Festival, set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 3. We’ve got a great new location, Wild Acre Brewing in Fort Worth, where you’ll get three beer tickets and trip through the Mexican food buffet as part of your $15 ticket to get in for the fun.
There will be plenty of great auction items, including the oil painting shown above, guided trips to outstanding destinations, fly collections and gear. If you haven’t registered yet, make it easy on yourself in case the weather is bad (remember last year?) and register online at www.fwf4.eventbrite.com. Then you can stroll right in without wasting time in line.
This year we are also sponsoring a fly tying competition. There are three categories — streamers, terrestrials and top water poppers. Entry fee is just $5 per fly, or three for $10. Enter as many as your want (but remember that all entries will be donated toward a collection that will be auctioned that night).
