The annual Fort Worth Fly Fishers Fundraising Festival and auction is March 3. If you haven’t registered yet, do it now one of three ways: online at www.eventbrite.com; by mailing a check to Fort Worth Fly Fishers, P.O. Box 1133, Fort Worth, TX 76101 (email Rick Haness at vicepresident@fortworthflyfishers.org if you use this option so he can enter you in the system; on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/fortworthflyfishers/ (click on Events). If it’s still raining on March 3 the way it has been lately, you’ll be glad you don’t have to stand in line to register onsite.

This is the club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, providing much of the money that we use to pay for outings, educational sessions, speakers and outreach programs. It’s important! Last year we had an outstanding event, and this year’s is shaping up to be another “keeper.” There will be live auctions, silent auctions and raffles for items that include:
  • A captain-guided saltwater trip
  • Guided fishing trips to New Mexico, the Hill Country and other great destinations
  • “Urban” fishing expeditions led by some of the club’s own experienced members
  • Lots of gear
  • New: The “Wall of Rods,” with six changes are winning a new rod

Throw in the fun of seeing and bidding against friends and you can’t beat it. For $15 admission, you get this and a Mexican food buffet, three beer tickets. It all starts at 7:30 p.m. March 3 at Wild Acre Brewing, 1734 East El Paso Street, Suite 190, in Fort Worth.
Don’t miss it. A lot of work has gone in to assure a great time for you and fellow members.
See you there!
